Description: Physical description:
Z'harian is rather tall, about 6'1". He has red hair(gained from his mother's side of the family) that is kept short because he doesn't want its natural curliness to assert itself too strongly. His hair still retains the bright color of his youth though he fears that when he is older it will become duller and look almost brown. His eyes are a very pale green color that can be mistaken for blue on some days. He is well built and muscular despite his advancing years. When he walks he always keeps his head held up, not out of pride, but because of his cheerful inner spirit.
Emotional description:
Z'harian is less flirty than most bronzeriders and detests one night stands that other bronzeriders enjoy so much. He avoids casual affairs with women, and likes serios relationships. He has enough morals to make up for those that others lack. Even though he may conduct himself with scruples that doesn't mean that he is against having a good time. He has been known to have fun on numerous occasions. He is polite, cheerful, exuberant and easy to get along with. He understands that it is possible for people not to like him but he has not given up trying to be friends with everyone.
History:
Z'harian was the second child born to his weyrmated parents who live at the WeyrHold. Two of his sibilings are also dragon riders. He was apprenticed at age ten to the jewler craft. He was promoted to senior apprentice soon after due to his great aptitude and passion for his craft. He became a candidate at the age of 13 and impressed Vrinitarth the second hatching after he was searched. He took time away from his craft during his weyrlinghood and finally achieved journeyman status at the age of 21. He found that he really enjoyed his craft but he did not lament the time he spent away from it while playing with, and caring for, Vrinitarth.
He has fathered only two children that he knows of, boys 18 and 9 turns of age. The eldest is named Zaviyer. Zaviyer was the result of a mating flight with a green dragon, and the younger came nine months after a queen flight. Oddly enough, one of the boys looks exactly like Z'harian did when he was younger, red hair and all. The other boy seems to take after his mother without few signs Z'harian's blood in him. Despite this, Z'harian does not question that he is indeed both boys' father.
He remained a wingleader at the Weyrhold until he heard of the newly forming SeaBreeze Weyr, where his siblings had already headed to. In Z'harian's opinion, SeaBreeze bustled with life and energy that was missing from the hold. When he moved, to his delight, his eldest son came with him, and he still keeps in touch with his younger son.
Description of Dragon:
Vrinitarth doesn't show off that much. Sometimes he will fly elaborate patterns in the air out of happiness or sometimes because of his natural exuberance. He is a very curious dragon. Probably because of his rider's lack of children he is interested in any female, human or dragon, that is about to clutch. He has been seen carrying pregnant human females from place to place. He also enjoys the company of firelizards. He seems to like the little creatures and pays attention to them even when their humans think that they are being annoying. Vrinitarth often weaves his tail in elaborate patterns when he is happy, but when he sleeps this is reduced to a small swaying back and forth.
Vrinitarth can often be mistaken for a brown becuase of his color and size. He is a little small for a bronze, but not overly so. Sometimes people are surprised to see Z'harian with bronzerider's knots because they do not think that Vrinitarth could possibly be a bronze. If anyone has a doubt about Vrinitarth's true color, then they should see him between dusk and dawn. In the pale light of the moon Vrinitarth's hide sparkles with reflected light more than many a bronze's does during the day.
Description of Pet:
Z'harian was given a firelizard egg as gift at the age of 26. It hatched to become the brown Tyren. Tyren's hide is a deep, even brown color. Tyren is almost always with Vrinitarth or Z'harian. He has been known on occasion to sun himself in the presence of green and gold flits.
