Greenrider Alunivar

Name: Alunivar
Age: 16
Residence: Sea Breeze Weyr
Dragon: Oniraveth
Color: Green
Age: 1
Craft: Healer
Rank: Jr. Apprentice/Greenrider
Description: Physical - She looks to be about eighteen instead of 'just' sixteen turns. She has the dark hair that's common on her father's side of the family, falling to just above her shoulder blades in a lightly spiked pattern. Her eyes are darker than the norm, appearing to be black with glints of hard brown shining through. She's slim, as nearly all riders are, with full breast and nice curves elsewhere. She's got high cheekbones to boot, and thin lips. All this considered, she's not beautiful. Pretty is more like it, since there's just something about her that leaves her on the threshold of true beauty. And she has one pet peeve. She's five foot five, wishing to be one inch taller.
Emotional - Cool, Calm, Calculating. She regards all things with an eternal casualness, almost to the point of some adding 'cold' to her personality description. She never was like the other children of her family, never given to bouts of 'insanity', or other childish ventures. She's been mature from the start, scorning activities that no one respectable would be caught dead doing. Alunivar took more companionship with the adults and much older children than she did with those within three turns of her age. To put it shortly, she's not interesting in acting foolish at all. She's steady and unwilling to change for anyone. She says, "Take me as I am, or not at all." All this aside, she does have her moments, and she adores her older half brother, Br'van.
History: The third child of a brownrider, she was a flight baby, unlike the two prior. Her mother was a greenrider, and it was quite obvious that her father's brown caught her mother's green. Alunivar was fostered out to a kindly woman, but that didn't matter to the little girl. All she truly wanted was her mother and father, who were much too busy with their lifemates to look at a simple child such as her.
She grew up loving dragons, even though she knew they were why she could not be with her biological parents. When her father was transferred back to his native Weyr, Sea Breeze, she wanted to follow him. Being only five turns old didn't help her much. Aluni was forced to stay behind, and was somewhat put off by it. Trying to forget about her father, she looked forward to being Searched when she was old enough. She tried to get the Search dragons to look at her on her twelfth birthingday, but instead, she was Apprenticed to the Healer Craft. The young girl drew inside herself, regretful of even glancing at dragons with the admiration she had once held for them in her eyes.
But then, just a few months before she would be fourteen, the dragons came to the Hall. She was chosen on Search. At first she was confused, wondering if she should go back or not. Then she was torn between a decision. Stay at the Crafthall that helped you forget about the hurt, or return to the place and possibly become a rider.
She went with the blue and green riders, standing for Impression. She failed, but continued to stay at the Weyr. She worked under the Weyrhealer, learning her craft, in case she would never Impress. Aluniver had hopes of becoming a master healer, but at her second Hatching, at the age of fifteen, she Impressed a green who called herself Oniraveth, or Onira for short.
They spent their required time as weyrlings. When she found out that her elder half brother, Br'van had Impressed a bronze at one of the neighboring Weyrs, she applied for transfer. Not even a month after her dragon's first birthingday, she left for Sea Breeze Weyr.
Dragon Description: Physical - She's an absolutely gorgeous dragon. Her hide dazzles a deep emerald with hints of liquid sapphire glinting int her wings. Onira is an averaged size green, a nice balance of speed, agility and even a little bit of stamina. Her wings are a bit large, allowing her to do some aerial tricks that not many dragons can. She's well muscled, and other than her wings, well proportioned. She can often be seen flirting with as many of the bronzes that she can steal away from the golds.
Emot - Well, if one were to compliment her, they would say she's ditzy. Onira may be a beauty, but she happens to lack in the brains department. She forgets things the moment they are told to her, and always argues against what she had to say in the first place. She's not stupid, granted, but she could use a little reminder here and there. She loves to flirt, and does it almost to the point of overdoing it. Oniraveth is almost childish in her ways, minus the innocence at many times. Not only is she a bit on the dumb side, she can't sit still. Her curiosity knows no limits and she's always questioning one thing or another, wanting to know what this is or what that happens to be...
